Houston Academy as well as Aldine ISD seeks to develop and strengthen creative skills, build self-esteem, develop a sense of self-importance and individuality, encourage self-expression and stimulate imagination in children through the visual arts.
By assisting and encouraging a child’s creativity, you set the stage for endless opportunities for that child’s imagination. A healthy imagination not only creates a resourceful and productive individual, but it also builds self-esteem, which is an important tool that will be used for the rest of that child’s life.
Houston Academy Visual Art classes consist of primarily two levels; Advanced and Intermediate/Beginner. The visual arts focus on drawing, painting, printmaking, water color, sculpture, art history and much more.
